If the rumors are true, it is another salient reminder that the switch to V6s should have happened about 2 years ago.

But hey, good news is good news. The engine supplier route is better than a full factory team from an investment standpoint, so the likelihood of extended participation might be higher.

I'm on board with more manufacturer participation in Prototype racing...while there is certainly a lot of fun to be had in F1 in the future, I think the days of it being the 'pinnacle' are winding down. WEC has more of an influence on road cars and brand growth, so it will get more factory support...which means better racing to watch and more trickle down to consumers.
